Charles W. Korogi, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 1998 in Bountiful, Utah.
Born February 25, 1917, Bingham, Utah, the son of Michael and Elizabeth Spence Korogi. Raised in Reliance, Wyoming. Married Catherine Sandberg, later divorced. Life time resident of BountifulMember of St. Olafs Catholic Church where he coached athletic teams. Member of Footprinters, drove for meals on wheels. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Ralph Talbot. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. Retired U.S. Civil Service.
Survived by four sons, Steven C. (Robin), Roy; John F. (Kellie), West Jordan; Charles M. (Andrea), Encinitas, CA; Matthew D. (Becky), Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Matthew, Angela, Christopher; two brothers and two sisters, Kenneth Korogi, Rock Springs, WY; Andrew Korogi, Canon City, CO; Christina Easton, Salt Lake City; Mary Lou Patton, Santa Monica, CA.
Funeral services Saturday, August 29, 1998 at 3 p.m. in the Lindquists Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 E., where friends may call Saturday, 1-2:45 p.m. prior to services.
