Less than a day before he was to have been married, a 20-year-old man was killed in a car crash as his fiancee followed in a separate car.

Andrew J. Robjohns was on his way home from decorating his wedding hall when he lost control of his Ford Mustang and hit a utility pole Friday evening, police said. He was killed instantly. His fiancee, Kathy-Jo Sanders, and some of her family members were following Robjohns' car and watched him disappear around a curve. Then they came across his car wrapped around the pole.

"It's horrible," Robjohns' father, Edward Robjohns, told The Star-Ledger of Newark. "They said Kathy-Jo went to him and she held his head and he was bleeding."

The couple had moved up their wedding date after Robjohns won a $50,000 lottery prize, his father said.
