Utahns sizzled in record heat Friday as temperatures topped 92 - one degree above the previous record for June 3 of 91 degrees, set in 1946.By contrast, Davis County sheriff's dispatchers reported snow on I-15, plaguing travelers Monday morning.
Prognosticators say Saturday and Sunday will be somewhat more hospitable. The National Weather Service said temperatures should remain hot through the weekend, climbing to 100 at Lake Powell and Zion National Park.
However, the weather Monday through Wednesday is predicted to be unsettled with temperatures in the 70s over much of the state, with scattered showers.
