Willard Nels Jorgensen, age 77, our gentle husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away August 22, 1998 surrounded by his loving family. He had struggled the last eight years with Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born July 14, 1921 to Anthony and Margaret Nielsen Jorgensen in Kimball, Bingham County, Idaho. He married Jeneal Balmforth on March 22, 1946 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.Willard served over 40 months in World War II in the South Pacific. He attended Westminster College for two years and graduated from Idaho State University. He earned his Master of Arts in Education from the University of Idaho. Willard dedicated his life to the education of children. He started teaching in his hometown of Firth, Idaho. He completed his long career as a teacher and principal in the Davis County School District. He loved to spend his time fishing, camping, golfing and especially loved holding his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Jeneal of 52 years; and by their six children: Noel (Pam) Jorgensen, Indiana; Siri (Gary) Manwill, Centerville; Anena Jorgensen, Woods Cross; Kevin (Chris) Jorgensen, Bountiful; Allen Jorgensen, California; and Stacie Willden, Woods Cross; eight granddaughters: Marni, Jennifer, Erin, Brennan, Sara, Lisa, Rebekah and Amanda; eight grandsons: David, Troy, Tony, Brock, Erik, Dax, Dane and Blake; by five great granddaughters. He is also survived by two sisters, Leila Pixton, Firth, Idaho and Elaine Trahant, Pocatello, Idaho. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Elmer.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 1998 at 12 noon at the Bountiful 37th Ward, 1500 No. 400 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, and Wednesday at the ward from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Estates.
