Grace Alberta Brown Rencher, age 93, died August 21, 1998, in Murray, Utah.

Born November 3, 1904, in Murray, Utah, to Edwin Parley and Dora Ballard Brown. Married Jay Grant Rencher Aug. 31, 1934, the marriage was later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 31, 1937. He died September 9, 1979. They were residents of Burley, Idaho, for over 50 years.She worked for the Cassia County Offices as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, served as captain for two years, and secretary of the County Camp.

Member of the LDS Church, where she served in many positions, the MIA for 20 years, the Ward and Stake Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday School.

Survivors: Brothers, Melvin F. (Marjorie) Brown of Cottonwood Heights, Keith X. (Lani) Brown of Riverton; sister, Anne B. (Melvin) Day, Bountiful, sisters-in-law, Doris Brown, Taylorville, Claire Brown, Pocatello, Idaho; many nieces and nephews, two special nieces Gwen Bateman and Faye (Ray) Burrows.

She was preceded in death by a sister LeVona Heusser, and brothers Rothwell, Parley, Lloyd, and Hugh.

Funeral service Wednesday, August 26, 1998, at 10 a.m. at the South Cottonwood Ward, 5605 South Vine Street. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and Wednesday, one hour prior to service at the church. Graveside service Wednesday, 4 p.m. at the Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley, Idaho.
