Trans World Airlines' pilots completed voting Friday on a tentative contract agreement between their union and the company, but nobody is making predictions about the outcome.

The ballots will be tabulated at the Air Line Pilots Association's office in Washington. The results are expected to be announced Aug. 31, said Gina Butikofer, a spokeswoman for TWA's pilots union.Joe Chronic, master chairman of TWA's unit of the pilots union, said a polling of the pilots three weeks ago showed then that the vote was too close to call.

"We have a large number of pilots who don't care for the tentative agreement," he said.
