Salt Lake police are investigating a pair of Saturday robberies that reportedly happened about 13 minutes apart. They believe the two robberies were committed by the same men.

In the first incident, a man was walking along the sidewalk at 1700 East and 2100 South about 2:20 p.m. when he was confronted by two men in a maroon car. The passenger got out, brandished a gun and stole the pedestrian's wallet and pager. At 2:33 p.m., four men walking at 700 South and 900 East were confronted by two men who stole their wallets, police say.

Witnesses reported a license plate number on the suspect vehicle, but Lt. Robert Linton said officers were still trying to match it to the robbers.

No one was injured, Linton said.
