The March of Dimes Haunted House will open its doors to the "Dungeon of Darkness" Monday, Oct. 2. This year's haunting will occur at 4000 S. 900 East in the Captain Nemo's Dinner Theatre.

During 15 years of operation, the Haunted House has raised $1.5 million to help the March of Dimes fight birth defects. The house this year will include efforts by 250 volunteers to ensure a terrifying, haunting experience.Surprises include a bubbling cauldron, deadly armory, evil jesters and a macabre ballroom, as well as the old favorite, the tomb of the vampire.

The house will be open through Halloween. Hours are Monday through Thursday 7-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 7-11 p.m. The event is sponsored by KRSP AM and FM, KTVX Ch. 4, Little Caesars Pizza, Williamsburg Savings Bank, Wendy's and Bravos Tortilla Strips and Coca-Cola.
