The Madison (Wis.) Farm Tavern's Chris Delarwelle's two-run homer in the sixth inning lifted his team to a 2-1 victory over Larry H. Miller Toyota Thursday night.
With the loss, Miller Toyota falls into the loser's bracket and will play Midland (Mich.), an 11-0 winner over the Scarborough, Ontario Thunder Friday.If Miller Toyota wins, they will play a double-header, with the second game at 7 p.m. MDT.
Miller Toyota grabbed a 1-0 margin over the defending champion Farm Tavern in the first inning. Dave Paetkau tripled, and came home on Kyle Magnusson's single.
That lead held up until the sixth inning, when Delarwelle hit his heart-breaking home run.
Miller Toyota stranded nine runners.
