LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinck-ley will appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Church spokesman Don LeFevre on Friday confirmed President Hinckley's appearance on the show. The show airs at 7 p.m. on Channel 33 in Salt Lake City.It will mark the second time the energetic leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has appeared on a nationally televised news show.
In April 1996, President Hinckley was interviewed by Mike Wallace for the CBS news-magazine "60 Minutes." In addition to interviewing businessman Bill Marriott, Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young, Wallace questioned President Hinckley about missionary work, eternal families and morality.
President Hinckley celebrated his 88th birthday June 23.
