Officials with the FBI and Bountiful Police Department are asking for help in identifying a suspect who robbed a bank on Wednesday.

About 3:49 p.m., a man approached a teller inside Zions Bank at the Smith's Food and Drug Center, 2399 S. Main. The man demanded cash from the teller as he displayed a handgun, then walked out of the store in an unknown direction, said David M. Tubbs, FBI special agent in charge.The man was last seen wearing a dark green baseball hat, beige short sleeve polo shirt with the letters "Polo" on the breast, beige slacks and large dark sunglasses with possibly gold-colored frames.

The man is described as a 40-year-old white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with a thick build, black curly hair and mustache that are slightly grayed.

The FBI is encouraging anyone with information regarding this robbery or the individual to contact them at 579-1400 in Salt Lake City or 392-7265 in Ogden. The Bountiful Police Department can also be contacted at 298-6000.
