Clara Evva Nelson Pace, age 87, passed away August 18, 1998 after a valiant fight with cancer.
She was born April 25, 1911 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Eric Arthur and Evva McKell Nelson. She married Alfred William Pace on January 17, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. Her love of the LDS Church helped her face life's adversity with a sweet, loving spirit and positive attitude which is her legacy to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to read and had an active part in establishing the DUP Museum in Nephi.She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Carol Ann (Roy) Spriggs, St. George; Richard W. (Mary) Pace, American Fork; Melvin A. (Jackie) Pace, Farmington; J. Kent (Maria) Pace, Kaysville; Kathryn Mitchell, and Janet (Steve) Harrow, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Nelson; and four sisters, Ella Forseyth, Leora Levanger, June Varner, and Connie Jones.
Preceded in death by husband, one brother, one sister and a grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 22nd in the Nephi 1st, 2nd and 8th Ward Building at 222 S. 100 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi. Funeral Directors, Anderson Funeral Home.
