One of two men who admitted robbing the same Logan pizza shop twice has been sentenced to two more months in jail and probation.

Police arrested Brian Loop, 21, and Justin Wilkes, 20, both of West Valley City, in March after Little Caesar's restaurant was robbed a second time.During the August and January robberies, a man approached employees as they left the restaurant to take cash deposits to the bank. No weapon was used.

Loop was sentenced Monday by 1st District Court Judge Clint S. Judkins, who agreed to the recommendation of Loop's attorney, Barbara Lachmar.

Citing Loop's lack of a significant criminal record, she asked that he be sentenced to probation in Montana, where his family lives. He has been jailed since March 3, and is to be released on probation Oct. 15.

Judkins also fined Loop $1,250 and ordered him to pay $4,060 in restitution.

His accomplice, Wilkes, was ordered to the Utah State Prison for a 90-day evaluation and is to return for an Oct. 26 sentencing.

In court Monday, Wilkes apologized for his actions, telling the judge his house was broken into while he was in jail and everything taken.

"I felt loss for the first time," he said.
