Whitewater figure Susan McDougal's long-delayed trial on embezzlement charges has moved closer, with the selection of a dozen jurors and six alternates.

McDougal is charged with stealing $150,000 from conductor Zubin Mehta and his wife. The jury was sworn in Monday, and opening statements are expected to begin Sept. 8, after both sides review thousands of pages of recently released federal tax documents.The trial will likely finish by early October.
