Wayne E. Bryant, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 1998.
Dad was born on December 4, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eugene and Vera Crice Bryant. He married Savalla Webb on June 23, 1946. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in September 1994. She preceded him in death. He then married Elaine Dekker on October 8, 1994.He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He loved his country. He retired from Tooele Army Depot after 35 years of service as a firefighter. He was a member of the LDS Church and was a High Priest. A longtime member of the Good Sam's, Elks and lifetime member of the F.O.E., he was well liked. He was Tooele's first television repairman and worked for many years for local merchants and was self employed for many more.
He is survived by his wife; and children, Ellen Easton, Gene (Sherry) Bryant, Don (Marilyn) Bryant, Cindy (Allen) Cunningham; step-children, Doris (Grant) Gennett, Robert (Sheryl) Dekker, and Margaret (Roland) Glines. He has 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many more step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Milt) Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; daughters, Llona and Carol; a sister; brother; and parents.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to service at the Tooele Utah North Stake. Interment will be in Tooele City Cemetery.
