Florence Tuttle Foy, age 99, passed away Sunday, August 16, 1998 in Fruit Heights, Utah.
She was born October 11, 1898 in Bountiful, Utah, the daughter of Wilford and Sarah Ann Howard Tuttle. Married Leslie Thomas Foy April 12, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 14, 1937. She was active in the LDS Church and various civic activities. She was an artist and a prominent genealogist and historian.She is survived by her daughters, Jean Foy Call, Logan; Julia Foy Brough (LaGrande), Kaysville; Inez Foy Barker (Forest), Fruit Heights; Sarah Foy Moore (Gerald), Fruitland, Idaho; son, Leslie T. Foy (Connie), Kaysville; son-in-law, Guy P. Smith; 24 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Thoral Tuttle, Bountiful; Lily Secrist, Bountiful; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Lola Foy Smith; son-in-law, Lewis Call; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 1998 in the Bountiful 16th Ward Chapel, 720 East 550 North. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and again Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
