Lois Tanner Mattinson, 77, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Monday, August 17, 1998 at home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born March 25, 1921 in Payson, Utah to William Frederick and Ines Lucinda Winward Tanner. She married W. Boyd Mattinson on June 14, 1940, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Lois was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many auxiliaries. She particularly loved Primary and working with children where she was an adored teacher.
Lois is survived by her sweetheart and husband; their children: Don B. (Judi) Mattinson and W. Randy (Gail) Mattinson; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a dear sister, Erma Wall. She was preceded in death by brothers, Winward and Sterling Tanner; and sisters, Inez Hurst and Nelda Spencer.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 20, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Edison Ward (1401 W. 700 S.) Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 S. 200 E.) and Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Ward. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.
