Michael Clark Harline, 22, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 1998, as a result of a tragic accident at Lake Powell, Utah. He was dearly loved by his family and friends who will miss him greatly.

Michael was born on September 20, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Peru High School in Peru, Indiana in 1994, and was attending school at Utah Valley State College in Provo, Utah. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Provo, Utah Mission. Michael loved the outdoors and was an avid rock climber and scuba diver. He loved the mountains of Utah and the greenery of Indiana where he spent his teenage years. He had a kind, gentle and courageous spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. He was endeared by those who knew him and was a friend to all.Michael was survived by his father, Dr. N. LaVar Harline; his mother, Jan C. Hunt; his stepmother, Jean Perschon; his stepfather, Jim Hunt; his brothers and sisters, Richard L. Harline, Karrin M. Harline, Julie K Harline, Bradley W. Harline, Melinda Merkley, Kristen Merkley, Spencer Merkley, and Derek Merkley; and many other loved ones.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 16, 1998 from 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the South Jordan Stake Center, 2450 West 10400 South, South Jordan, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 10-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment in Peru, Indiana.
