Affordable vaccinations, microchipping, licensing, behavior tips, obedience demonstrations and a bizarre pet tricks contest are all part of Wasatch Humane's Summer Pet Care Fair Saturday.
The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westminster College amphitheater, on the southwest corner of the campus. Parking is available by entering the campus at 1700 South and 1200 East. The fair, free to the public, is billed as an event where "you and your pet may join hundreds of other Utah pet owners to benefit a spay-neuter assistance fund for low-income and senior pet guardians and the second chance rescue fund," said Cheryl Smith, Wasatch Humane executive director.
Microchipping will cost $15. Rabies shots, a distemper combination shot and a vaccination for feline leukemia will each cost $5.
Some of Utah's top obedience instructors will give free tips on training a dog, Smith said.
