Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Thelma Eccles Erickson, age 81, died in Salt Lake City, August 8, 1998, of causes incident to age and a recent fall.
She was born August 16, 1916 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Henry Prince Eccles and Ella Elizabeth Clark Eccles. She married Ernest Gustave Erickson, June 10, 1932 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She enjoyed sewing and handicrafts of all kinds. She was an avid gardener, spending many enjoyable hours in her yard. She was compassionate and tolerant of others, always nonjudgemental. She loved spending time with her family and sharing in their lives. She will be sorely missed.She is survived by three sons, Robert H. (Renee) Erickson, Bountiful; Ronald L. (Elaine) Erickson, Bountiful; R. Steven (Janet) Erickson, Centerville; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and by her son, Ernest Wallace Erickson.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, at 12 noon at the Rose Park First Ward Chapel, 760 No. 1200 West, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City or Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Rose Park First Ward. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 East, Sandy.
