Arthur James "Jack" Winchester, 82, died Saturday, August 8, 1998 in Ogden, Utah.
He was born Sept. 22, 1915 in Gibbon, Nebraska to James D. and Tillie Keup Winchester. On Dec. 22, 1956 he married Dot Deloris Dawson in Elko, Nevada. Jack was a member of the LDS Church, Henefer 1st Ward. He graduated from Gibbon Nebraska High School and attended Nebraska Agriculture College. He worked for 35 years with Teleweld and retired as Assistant General Manager. He was talented and mechanically gifted and had collected miniature trains. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with the grand kids.Surviving are his wife, Henefer; two sons and two daughters, Dave (Ann) Larsen, Morgan; Bill (Janette) Larsen, Upton; LaVon Larsen (Willard) Dean, Sandy; Denice Larsen (Sam) Wright, Henefer; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Esther Winchester (Max) Applegate, Gen. Winchester (Howard) Owens, and Ray (Susan) Winchester, all of Gibbon, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Henefer Ward Chapel with Bishop Gale Stephens officiating. Friends may call at the Henefer Church, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Henefer Cemetery. Funeral directors, Walker Mortuary, Morgan, Utah.
