Joseph Andrew Schuring, 73, of Ephraim, Utah, died August 7, 1998.

Born April 18, 1925 in Salt Lake City, to Joseph and Erma Jane Burns Schuring. Married Ireta Hess April 28, 1948 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. Joseph was a veteran of World War II, Plumber for 45 years in local 19. He moved to Ephraim in 1980. Joseph loved baseball-the Dodgers was his favorite team. He served as High Priest in the Ephraim 1st LDS ward church. Joseph was a good husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.Survived by his wife; six daughters and one son: Mrs. Mary Ellen (John) Springer, Sandy; Mrs. Kathy (Dee) Jogerson, Jackson, WY; Mrs. Koy (Alma) Lund, Ephraim; Mrs. Teresa (Terry) Brunson, Phoenix, AZ; Joseph (Karen) Schuring, South Jordan; Mrs. Liz (Kevin) Stilson, Manti; Mrs. Amy (Brad) Grow, West Valley; 36 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one sister: Mrs. Lucille Cooke, West Valley.

Services Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at 12 noon in the Ephraim 1st LDS ward chapel where friends may call Monday, August 10, 1998 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in the Ephraim City Cemetery with Military Services. Funeral directors, Buchanan Mortuary, Manti, Utah.
