They're not the Grammys.

They're the Pearls - a new music award from the Faith Centered Music Association (FCMA) to honor outstanding LDS musicians and singers.This year the gala bash will be at Kingsbury Hall on Friday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m.

Awards will be given for best female vocalist, male vocalist, group or duo and instrumentalist. Among the nominees are the Tabernacle Choir for the CD "Come, Come Ye Saints," The Jets for "Love Will Lead the Way," Julie de Azevedo for "Pray for Rain" and Janice Kapp Perry and Sen. Orrin Hatch for "Freedom's Light."

The BYU Men's Chorus, The Goodman Family, Michael McLean and David Barrus are also up for awards. And various nominated artists will perform at the event.
