Nancy Lee Peery Schulder, passed away Thursday, August 6, 1998 in Vista, California, after an extended illness.
Born May 4, 1928 in Salt Lake City, daughter of Liliu and Joseph Peery.Nancy married Russell Graydon Schulder on September 24, 1949. She attended East High School and the University of Utah, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was a member of the Salt Lake Junior League and The Salt Lake Country Club.
She is survived by her children: Kurt Peery Schulder, Salt Lake City; Karen Vojtecky and husband, Steve, Bahrain, Persian Gulf; Timothy Locke Schulder and wife, Connie, Salt Lake City; and William Graydon Schulder, Colorado Springs; grandchildren: Melinda Martinez and Preston Shaw Schulder; great-grandchild: Ashlyn Teal Schulder; sisters: Julina Parker, Luacine Bunnell, Margaret McMain; brothers: Joseph Peery, and Paul Peery. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; husband; sisters, Jean Lindsey, and Betty Daynes; and brother, David Peery.
Her vivacious and joyous personality will be missed by all who knew her. She was a woman of colorful style, generosity, class and grace. Nancy will be remembered for her hospitality, wonderful cuisine, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and for her genuine love of her family and friends. She found great joy in her beautiful gardens and her lovely self-decorated home on the banks of the Millcreek stream. Nancy's home was a haven for everyone, especially young people in need.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to the Utah Arthritis Foundation or a charity of your choice.
The family wants to extend their warmest heartfelt gratitude to her sister, Luacine, for the loving care she gave Nancy in the final years of her life.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South.
