Louise Wheeler McEwan, 86, our loving mother, returned to her Heavenly home on Aug. 5, 1998 at LDS Hospital.

She died of respiratory failure following a short illness.She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 27, 1912 to Thomas Mark Wheeler and Emily Louisa Coulam. She was a member of the LDS Church and resided in the Parleys Stake for 62 years. She worked at Saltair and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Woodruff McEwan. She is survived by six children: Mary Isaacs of Salt Lake City; Beth (Allan) Bush of Midvale; Carol Wilkinson of Sandy; Marjorie (John) Kilmer of Bellevue, WA; Thomas (Delaine) McEwan of Sandy; William (Karen) McEwan of Taylorsville. Also three brothers: Mark C. Wheeler of Salt Lake City; Bryon C. Wheeler of San Francisco, CA; Ralph C. Wheeler of Salt Lake City. She had 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express appreciation to the following for the special care they have rendered to our mother: Chris and Angie Dereig, Wendy and Curtis Coombs; Jill and Rich Reed; as well as the medical support team at LDS Hospital, especially the nursing staff on 8 West.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 1998, 11 a.m. at the Parleys 6th Ward Chapel, 2350 South 2100 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East on Friday, August 7, 1998 from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
