Shaquille O'Neal, who admits he can't program his VCR, wants to get kids on the technology bandwagon.

The Los Angeles Lakers center said that when the Internet first became popular, he wanted nothing to do with it. Now, he can't stay off of it."If Shaq can work technology, anybody can," he said recently. He added that "right now, certain kids have access to the Internet and certain kids don't."

O'Neal said he has donated $1 million to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Los Angeles as part of a $15 million plan to open 10 technology centers a year for the next 10 years. "I'm going to do it even if I have to give the $15 million myself," he said.
