A great deal of ruckus has been raised about a recent mailing from Utahns for Choice. I received this mailing, and I fail to understand what the big deal is. I've seen news coverage from the Desert News, the Salt Lake Tribune, along with channels 2 and 4. Honestly. I must ask why being placed on a confidential mailing list gains so much news coverage when India's nuclear testing got little to no coverage at all. People are dying all over the world due to our lack of concern, and here we are wasting a great deal of time and energy over a mailing list.
What is the big deal? I read the letter carefully, and it states that if one wishes to be omitted from this controversial list, all one has to do is call. We are rarely given such opportunities with catalog or cred-it card mailings. At least this organization is giving you a choice. Frankly, I believe that people are making something out of nothing simply because this organization has to do with abortion. We hardly get all riled up when J. Crew sends us something. Grow up, Utah, and start looking at the bigger picture, it's a big world out there, and it's time we started noticing it.Wendy Ware
