Last week: Brandie Burton won the du Maurier Classic at Windsor, Ontario, shooting 68-64-66-72 for an 18-under 270 total - the lowest score in relation to par ever in a women's major.
Notes: Top European players are skipping the tournament to play in the McDonald's WPGA Championship in Scotland.

Last year: Hale Irwin won the fifth of nine 1997 titles.
Last week: Gil Morgan won the Utah Showdown for his fifth victory of the year and 12th in 47 senior starts. He did not have a bogey en route to a 16-under 200 total.
Notes: Irwin won the U.S. Senior Open two weeks ago for his fifth victory of the year and 18th in 72 senior starts. He leads the money list with $2,002,750 in 14 events. Morgan is second at $1,514,915.
Site: Omaha, Neb., Thursday-Sunday.
Course: The Champions Club (7,034 yards, par 72).
Purse: $250,000 (winner/$45,000).

Mike Weir: The ex-BYU player from Canada had one of his better efforts of late, shooting 3-under 281, but it was only good for a tie for 35th at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
Jay Don Blake: A final-round 75 dropped the ex-Aggie to a tie for 54th.
Mike Reid: A final-round 68 moved Reid to 60th place, a shot behind Blake.
Keith Clearwater: At least he made the cut in Memphis, tying Reid at 285 and earning $3,798.
Bruce Summerhays: Unfortunately the local hero had one of his worst tournaments of the year at last week's Utah Showdown, finishing in 58th place.
Val Skinner: She shot even-par 288 and finished way back at the Du Maurier Classic.
