Raymond Stohl Jensen, 78, died August 2, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born August 26, 1919 in Brigham City, Utah, to Ray and Hazel Stohl Jensen. He married Jean Aileen Trevorrow (later divorced) June 9, 1945 in Salt Lake City. He married Zela Ellen Thulin July 21, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Raymond served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, flying recognizance over Europe and Africa. He retired from the U.S. Bureau of Mines in 1984.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Zela; three children, Sarah "Salli" (Frank) Hartman, Maryland; Charles "Chuck" Jensen, Denver, Colorado; Hazel (Donna) Jensen-Wysinger. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Heidi (Scott) Reichert, Heather and Kimberly Hartman, Mackenlie and Noah Jensen-Wysinger.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 7, 1998, at 10 a.m. at the Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Friends and family may call Thursday, August 6, 1998, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Friday. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
