Vivian Stevens Mangelson, age 81, passed away August 1, 1998 at her home in Levan, Utah.
She was born July 25, 1917 in Castlegate, Utah to Lorenzo M. and Priscilla Badger Stevens. She married Vern Clay Mangelson June 10, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died June 7, 1994.She was a housewife and mother working together with her husband in the operation of Vern's Store for 27 years. She loved to cook, can, and garden. She loved flowers and animals, especially her cats. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loved being at home. She was a member of the LDS church and held many positions throughout her life. She was a temple worker in the Manti and Provo Temples.
Rulon and Wyla Sherwood, Aaron and Olive Poulson, Vivian and Vern Mangelson were married on the same day and also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together.
Survived by her two daughters and one son, Mary (Vaughn) Mathews, of Murray; Paul (Sandra) Mangelson, of Levan; Nancy McPherson, of Nephi; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 1998 in the Levan LDS Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to service. Burial in the Levan Cemetery.
