F. Duane Taylor, 65, died Sunday August 2, 1998 of complications due to heart surgery.

Duane was born in Payson, Utah on July 5, 1933 to Floyd and Norma Kay Taylor. On January 10, 1958 he married Sonia Cook. They were later divorced. On November 15, 1975 he wed Margene Pulsipher Jensen. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.Duane was raised and spent his early life in Payson, Utah. He attended schools there and later went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1958. He was a great athlete, excelling in basketball and track. As a young man he served an LDS mission to Hawaii and later held many callings and responsibilities in the church. He was generous with his time and talents.

Duane was employed at ZCMI for over 30 years, working as a merchandise buyer in many areas of the company's operations. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed farming. He also had a particular fondness for horses. Duane was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. His greatest joy in life was being with his family and helping those around him. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are: his wife, of North Ogden; four sons and two daughters, Bruce G. (Lauri) Jensen, North Ogden; Brent D. (Linda) Taylor, Mount Pleasant; Julie (Clark) Skeen, North Ogden; Debra (Roger) Bailey, Moroni; Russell T. Jensen, Salt Lake City; Blair J. (Stacy) Jensen, North Ogden; and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, of Payson; a brother, DeMar (Elaine) Taylor, of Lander, WY; and two sisters, Naomi LeBaron, Santaquin; and Shirlene (Wayne) LeBaron, West Valley City. Duane was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Katherine Ann; and two granddaughters, Mary Kay Bailey and Stephanie Bailey.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden Stake Center, 626 East 2600 North, North Ogden. Friends and family may call at Myers Mortuary in Ogden on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the North Ogden Stake Center on Thursday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, will be at Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
