Karl Kennedy Nielsen, 73, passed away July 31, 1998, in West Jordan City, Utah.
Born October 2, 1924, in Mammoth, Utah, to Lauritz S. and Kesten Marie Nielsen Nielsen.Karl was a bombardier in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and a machinist for KCC. He enjoyed reading, World War II vintage air craft, and spending time with his family.
Married Royce Curtis on April 9, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Survived by children, Lance (Betty) Nielsen of Oceanside, Miss.; Brenda (Brad) Baker of West Jordan City, Utah; Chris (Kelly) Mielsen of Midvale, Utah; Lisa Nielsen of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Mya, Ginny, Courtney Baker, Austin, Allie Nielsen; great-grandson, Ashton Hansen; sisters, Wyvone Cahoy, Salt Lake City; Zella Robertson, California.
Preceded in death by his wife, Royce; brothers, Lauritz "Shock", Ted, Jim; sisters, Dorthea Morley, Luella Oldroyd, Tolla Hall, and LaNilla Eatough.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
