Ruth Leona Martinsen Hogan, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on July 31, 1998.

Born December 31, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Emil Alfred and Gunda Boletta Martinsen. Married Clyde Duncan Hogan in the Salt Lake Temple on March 24, 1939. Ruth was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in Primary, MIA and as a Relief Society Visiting Teacher for many years. She served two LDS missions with her husband, Clyde.Survivors: her beloved husband, Clyde Duncan Hogan; children: Judith Ann and husband Milton Kae Hardman, Ibapah, UT; Thomas Melvin Hogan, Tooele; Rosemary and husband, James F. Hanks, West Bountiful; Margaret and husband Scott M. Whitehouse, Stansbury Park; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Schmidt, West Jordan; and Pearl Lerhadl, Salt Lake City. She is preceded in death by a son, Clyde Gerald; and brothers, Parley, Henry, Alma, Melvin; and sister, Thelma.

Funeral service will be held on Monday August 3, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Tooele, Utah 4th/14th Ward 192 West 200 South. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary 110 So Main St., Tooele, Sunday August 2nd 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the Church from 11:45 a.m. till 12:45 p.m. Interment West Jordan Cemetery.
