The family of a Price boy struck and killed by a Utah Highway Patrol car has set up a trust fund to help with the costly medical and funeral expenses.

Michael Kouris, 11, died July 21 at Primary Children's Medical Center. He tried to cross South Carbon Avenue in Price two days before and was struck by a UHP patrol car in pursuit of another vehicle.The trust fund is in the boy's name at all Zions Bank locations. The money will help the family with the expenses it now faces in connection with the death, said Nancy Slama, Michael's cousin.
