Wesley Curley Clark - W.C. Clark - "the Godfather of Austin Blues," has inspired the Vaughans (Stevie and Jimmie), the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Lou Ann Barton.

Clark was also in the blues band Triple Threat Revue during the '70s, with a then unknown guitarist named Stevie Ray Vaughan.Clark will make a stop at the Dead Goat Saloon, Monday, Aug. 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the music is slated to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Trout was ranked No. 6 among the Top 20 all-time greatest guitarists in a 1993 poll taken by the British Broadcasting Corporation. He was just two votes behind Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.

Trout was once a member of Canned Heat and toured with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. His new album is called fittingly, "Walter Trout."
