Our beloved angel mother and grandmother, Maude Snell Fullmer, left her earthly existence on July 28, 1998, due to complications following surgery.
Maude was born June 18, 1913 in Cowley, Wyoming, to William H. and Iva Rasmussen Snell. A graduate of BYU, she had a lifelong thirst for knowledge and love of learning. Mom taught school in Emery and Piute Counties and is fondly remembered by students as the prettiest and smartest teacher they ever had.Maude married Duane Keith "Tuck" Fullmer, May 1, 1943, in Provo, UT. Her many interests included travel, theater, gardening, and reading. An expert seamstress and cook, she was tireless in service and devotion to her family. Active in numerous political, educational and civic endeavors. Member of the LDS Church who served faithfully in many church callings.
Survived by sisters, Mary Hailes and Gloria Lunceford; children, Keith (Beverly) Fullmer; Mary K. Outzen; Constance (Wesley) Huntsman; Richard (Nancy) Fullmer; and Michael (Connie) Fullmer; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Gene, Morris, William, Henry Snell; sisters, Della Miller and Iva Snell.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 31, 1998, at 12 noon in the Monroe Stake Center (140 S. Main in Monroe). Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at the Stake Center in Monroe Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a..m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
Nothing can speak more meaningfully about her accomplished and successful life than the adoration and attention shown to her by those she loved most. Momma was always a lady, her family and friends will miss her sweet presence and look forward to seeing her again. "We love you, Mom."
