"Off on a new adventure." Mertie loved to travel and live life to the fullest. On July 26, 1998, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed thru the veil to join her eternal companion and sweetheart, Bill; and oldest daughter, Joyce.

Mother's life was centered on her family and church. She has been a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many different callings: in Primary, Mutual, as drama director, in Relief Society, Sunday School, Scouting and PTA. She instilled in her children the value of hard work, self-sufficiency, and serving others. She will be greatly missed, but remembered for her strength, loving devotion to her family, her positive attitude toward life. She brought such joy and laughter and love in everyone's life she touched that her memories will leave a smile in our hearts forever.Murvel Ione Gregory Rawson was born in Union, Utah December 19, 1909 to William Charles and Alice M.
