The Rev. Jesse Jackson was hospitalized in Chicago with bronchial asthma, but his condition was improving and his condition Monday was upgraded to good.

Jackson, 56, entered Doctors Hospital on Saturday night coughing, wheezing and experiencing shortness of breath after a rally of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, his civil-rights organization. Jackson, a former presidential candidate, has been treated for bronchial asthma before."He's much better" than when he was admitted, nursing supervisor Mildred Soriano said Monday.
