A feasibility study for a 220-acre education, arts and conference center here is nearing completion.

The Moab Higher Education Council, which called for determination of community needs, resources and an economic analysis, will hold special meetings with directors of similar projects in other states to complete the study. The site is to contain educational and vocational facilities, natural resource studies classrooms, business training facilities, a conference center and theater.

Need for the facility comes after the Utah State University Extension and College of Eastern Utah began outgrowing facilities shared for educational and vocational programs.
