Robert Oral Nuttal, 61, returned to his Father in Heaven on Saturday, July 25, 1998 due to an extended illness.
He was born January 6, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Oral Joy Nuttall and Ruth Mary Jenkins Nuttall. He was raised and educated in Logan and he graduated from Logan High. He was married to Gwen Sorenson on June 24, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple. After their marriage, they lived in Logan, then moved to Smithfield, where they lived for five years. After their children were born, they moved to Clearfield. Robert worked many years in the aerospace program, retiring from Hercules. He served in many church positions, such as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, ward finance clerk and a counselor in the Bishopric. He enjoyed bike riding, working on cars, and keeping his yard nice.Surviving are his wife, Gwen S. Nuttall, Clearfield; one daughter, Trena (Steve) Clemens, Scottsdale, AZ; three sons, Mark (Becky) Nuttall, North Ogden; Jeffrey (Julie) Nuttall, Layton; Brian (Kimberly) Nuttall, Roy; 10 grandchildren; also surviving are three sisters, Mary Parker, Kearns; Carol Skidmore, Logan; and Donna Geisler, Kearns. He was preceded in death by both parents, a nephew and a niece.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at the Clearfield 6th LDS Ward Building, 300 No. 200 West with Bishop Patrick Murray conducting. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 So. 1900 West and Wednesday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Clinton City Cemetery.
