Norma Leston Holbrook, our loving mother and yiayia, passed away peacefully, July 22, 1998 in Sarasota, Florida, at the home of her daughter.

She was born December 29, 1925 in Tooele, Utah, to Harry Latsos and Alice Negus Leston. She attended school at Utah State. She married John L. Strike in 1950 and they were the parents of three daughters. They later divorced. In 1983 she married Gordon B. Holbrook.Norma will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family, her giving nature, and her vital and positive attitude toward life. She put her all into everything that she did. Her family was her priority, and she was always there when we needed her.. She loved the Symphony and the Ballet, devoting her time and energy while serving as a member of the Symphony and Ballet Guilds for many years. Norma also spent her time playing golf and bridge, enjoying the friendships that developed. She also had a great love for gardening. Her beautiful flowers and gardens will always be in our memories.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, brother, Chris Leston, and sister, Dorothy Paulsen. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Curren; daughters, Christine Roussos, Alice Strike and Julie Steele; stepchildren, Gordon Lee Holbrook and Susan Butler; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services Tues, July 28th, 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 North "N" Street. Funeral directors, Dale Holbrook Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church or Hospice.
