A tanker truck explodes into a fireball after slamming into an interstate overpass in Valdese, N.C., Friday. The flames melted the bridge, causing it to collapse onto the rig. The state patrol said two people were killed, but officials wouldn't immediately say whether the victims were in the truck. A patrol spokesman said the tanker, believed to have been carrying gasoline, hit a support on the bridge, rolled onto its side and exploded. The state patrol also said I-40 would be closed for at least a week.
