Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Beulah Verle Evans Scott, 77, passed away on July 24, 1998 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 11, 1921 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the sixth of eight children born to John Evan and Eliza Maretta Markham Evans. She was raised in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School. She married George Milton Scott Jr. on April 2, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in Sunday School, Primary, MIA, and Relief Society, where she was a faithful visiting teacher. She was an excellent seamstress, making patchwork quilts and other handwork. She loved genealogy, cooking, and was an excellent pie maker. She worked for Grand Central for many years.She is survived by her husband, George, Sandy; son, George (Carolyn) Scott III, Washington, Utah; three daughters, Kathleen (Bill) Webb, West Valley City, Marianne (Blaine) Crump, Malad, Idaho, Renae (Rick) Stowe, Riverton; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Drucilla Romrell, West Valley City. Preceded in death by a grandson and his wife, Christian and Fae Walker Webb.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Midvalley 7th Ward, 8060 South 615 East. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East and Tuesday at the Ward 10-10:45 a.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
