Lloyd Ray Huntington, age 40, died July 19, 1998.
Born July 28, 1957 to Raymond and Norma Huntington. Married Kollette Killpack June 19, 1976. Marriage solemnized in the Manti Temple June 14, 1991.Lloyd was a lifetime resident of Emery County, was a member of the Energy West Championship Mine Rescue/First Aid Team and Emery County Jeep Posse. He was a certified scuba diver, a pilot and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of the LDS Church and was serving in the Young Mens Stake Presidency. Lloyd devoted his life to the service and help of others in need.
Lloyd was a loving husband and a wonderful father and could always be found with his family. Camping, boating, four wheeling, repelling, fishing, golfing, and always working together were a few of the things they enjoyed together. His family was his pride and joy and the time they spent together was his one great comfort.
He is survived by his wife, Kollette, of Castle Dale; his three children, Elder Tyson Ray, now serving an LDS mission in Raleigh, North Carolina; Kade Lee and Jessica Marie, of Castle Dale; his parents, Raymond and Norma Huntington, of Watertown, South Dakota; sisters, Susan Kearney (Sean), of Watertown, South Dakota; and Lorie Dunsmore (Dennis), of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandmother, Ruth Beach; nieces and nephew, Amanda and Jordan Huntington and Chad Dunsmore. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd S. and Hannah Huntington, and grandfather, Loran Beach.
Lloyd was a positive influence to anyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. "We love you Lloyd."
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 1998 in the Castle Dale Stake Center. There will be a viewing Wednesday, July 22, 1998 from 7-9 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and one hour prior to the service.
