Olaf James Kitchen, age 59, died July 21, 1998, after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Kitchin, of Riverton; his daughter, Judy Shankel; and grandson, Kevin Shankel, of Stockton, California; his father, Clarence Kitchin, of Manassas, Virginia; and his brother, Donald T. Kitchin and wife, Sherry, of Riverton, with whom he resided for the past two years. He also leaves behind his devoted cat "Puffy". He was preceded in death by his mother, Olaug Bastian Wiggins, who died in 1992.Olaf had a real zest for life and spent many years developing his hobby of building and flying radio control model airplanes. He was an excellent auto mechanic, devoted father, son, brother and friend, and will be missed by all knew him.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the fine nurses and aids at the Draper Rehabilitation and Care Center, who provided such wonderful, loving care to Olaf during the last month of his life.
A private memorial service will be held by the family, the date of which has not yet been set. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
