May Ellingson Bennett, one of earth's sweet, kind and loving beings, passed from this mortal existence July 19, 1998.

She was born to Berg Ellingson and Eva Margeret Sorensen on May 1, 1921, in Calgary, Albert, Canada. She married E. Evans Bennett in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 2, 1941; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church accepting many callings.May will be remembered for her 30 plus years of service and "Friday Treats" at Valley Bank. Her grandchildren will remember many Christmas cookie parties she did for them and their friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Jim) Hampton, and Karen (Brent) Parrish; seven grandchildren; brothers, Melvin (Audrey); Wayne (Gloria); Dee (Dawn); Roland; sisters-in-law, Betty (Collins) Jones; Nellie Ellingson, Ruth (George) Jensen; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband.

At Mother's request, a graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at 10 a.m. Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Viewings Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Utah, 2091 East 4800 South, SLC, UT 84117.
