Jennie Beck Nay, 83, of Monroe, Utah, passed away July 18, 1998, in Richfield, Utah.

She was born August 4, 1914, in Monroe, Utah, to Osveld Wilhelm and Isabella Blain Beck. She married John Lester Nay, March 26, 1954, in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 14, 1990.Jennie lived in Monroe except for 15 years where she lived in California. She was a school teacher and a member of the LDS Church where she served in various positions.

She is survived by children, Alan Lester Nay and Douglas Kim Nay, both of Monroe; Gary Faye and Louise Nay, Victorville, CA; Dawn and Robert Williams, Prineville, OR; Lynnette and Dennis Bragg, Glide, OR; Jona and Bob Hedman, Las Vegas, NV; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Melba Cox, Tehachapi, CA.

Preceded in death by husband, daughter Shirley Freeman, brothers Clyde, Jay, and Wade, and parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the Monroe 2nd LDS Chapel, 140 South Main, Monroe. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Monroe Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
