A Woodland man was killed Monday morning after his vehicle crashed into the Heber Railroad bridge on U-189.

Police have not released the man's name, pending notification of family members, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Verdi White II said.The 60-year-old man was apparently southbound toward Provo on U-189 near the Deer Creek dam at 5:45 a.m. when the vehicle drifted across the center line of the two-lane road and struck the bridge.

Police believe the man was killed instantly, White said. The man was not wearing a seat belt.
