Two Provo men were arrested Thursday in connection with the shooting of an Orem woman last week.
Shawn Millet, 23, and Jason Millet, 20, were arrested in Provo and booked into the Utah County Jail on suspicion of attempted homicide.Early Sunday Linda Gren was shot five times with a 9mm handgun through the kitchen window of her Orem apartment, 213 N. Garden Park Drive (220 West).
Gren, 45, was struck by bullets in the mouth, hip, wrist and shoulder. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to serious condition.
A dismantled pistol believed to have been used in the shooting has been recovered, said Orem Police Sgt. Gary Downey. Members of the Utah County search and rescue team using a magnet found most of the handgun's parts in the waist-deep water of Utah Lake near Vineyard.
The frame and slide action of the pistol were recovered, although the barrel was not found, he said.
Police also recovered a box full of handguns that were allegedly stolen from Park's Sportsman in Orem several weeks ago.
Both Shawn and Jason Millet appeared Friday before 4th District Judge Ray M. Harding Sr., who set bail at $100,000 cash for each of them.
