Eugene Albert Crabtree, devoted husband and father, 87, of Salt Lake City passed away July 15, 1998.
Born September 18, 1910 in Centerville, Utah to Albert William and Beatrice Maud Bennett Crabtree. Married Maxine Bushnell April 5, 1937 in Meadow, Utah. Solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 1946.He was a skilled diesel mechanic. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed doing things with his family and spent countless hours serving his fellowmen. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served in numerous leadership and teaching positions and enjoyed his calling in the Salt Lake Temple.
Survived by his wife of 61 years and their three children, Stephen (Annette) Crabtree, Geniel (John) Dixon, Lamont (Leslie) Crabtree; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Crabtree and sister, Margie Willoughby, both of Bakersfield, CA. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Daisy Malone; brothers, Lagrand and Ted Crabtree; grandchildren, Eugene and Maxine Dixon.
Funeral service, Monday, July 20, 1998 at 12 noon at the Salt Lake Second Ward, 704 South 500 East. Friends and family may call Sunday, July 19, 1998 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and at the church Monday one hour prior to service. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
